The Producer Roaster Forum (PRF) recently wrapped up in Honduras, and it wasn’t just another industry event. For those passionate about where coffee comes from and who grows it, PRF delivered something more: real conversations, shared knowledge, and new connections. Enter Pono Collective, a movement powered by Savor Brands that's bridging the divide between coffee producers and roasters. With boots on the ground in Central America and a growing presence in Hawai'i, Pono Collective is making sure the people behind the beans are finally seen, heard, and supported.

So many people have no idea what farmers really go through… dealing with fertilizers, nurturing crops, trying to grow great coffee—it’s a serious commitment. – Spala, Savor Brands
About a year ago, Pono Collective held its second event in Central America, inviting some of the most respected roasters from around the world to engage with local coffee-growing communities in El Salvador and Guatemala. Spala (@savorkofe_spala), the Office Manager at Savor Brands, experienced the journey of coffee firsthand. From walking the farms to meeting the farmers, he saw what it really takes to bring coffee from the fields to your cup. This isn’t just about coffee—it's about education, awareness, and connection. Since 2022, Pono Collective has been creating real opportunities in Hawai'i and El Salvador, linking up culinary and hospitality students with coffee professionals and industry mentors.
