Oklahoma Coffee Roastery Celebrates 20th Birthday with Mobile Coffee Shop App

DoubleShot Coffee Company was founded by Brian Franklin in 2004. On their birthday, the entire day was full of celebratory events. They operated normal cafe hours from 7am-6pm and reopened for the party from 7pm-10pm. The celebration had tons of food, drinks, live music, and a very heartfelt speech from Brian.

What was your experience like visiting DoubleShot? I went to visit the cafe in the early afternoon prior to the evening birthday celebration, Brian was in the office recording segments of his podcast with several regulars eager to share their memories with DoubleShot and what the cafe has meant to them over the years. Mark was beyond accommodating and gave me a tour of the cafe and walked me through several of his favorite retail coffees. I got to purchase a very special roast for the Savor Brands office as the Maduro roast is no longer being sold due to the family selling their coffee farm. We also watched "Cafe Symphony" a mini visual documentary of a day in the life at DoubleShot, produced by Kyle Bell after filming for 2-3 weeks. Brian gave a great intro before they played the documentary. Kyle said they named the documentary this because Brian is like the conductor while DoubleShot is the symphony. Brian and Mark were able to thank him by gifting him some DoubleShot credit via the app's e-wallet, a feature we added in per Brian's request. The birthday celebration had a spread of drinks and food, some of which was made in-house. Everything was beautifully displayed and delicious! Brian also gave a very heartfelt speech about DoubleShot's journey and struggles with the buildout of the current location and also covid. They are in a great place now and he expressed his gratitude to DoubleShot's "tribe", made up of his dedicated and highly talented staff, his family and core customers who have been with them since the early days, and his entire loyal customer base.
